Obituary For Kenneth "Ken" Douglas Javorsky

Kenneth “Ken” Javorsky, resident of Lymburn, AB, formerly of Edmonton, AB, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, at the age of 76 years.

Ken was born in Edmonton on September 14, 1945, to Emile and Marguerite Javorsky. He was the second born in a family of seven children. He spent the majority of his youth in Edmonton. This is where Ken met his future wife Hazel. They were wed on July 17, 1971, and moved to Fort McMurray, AB, where Ken got a job working for Suncor. They welcomed their first son Richard on June 20, 1973, followed by Greg on October 31, 1974, and finally daughter Krissa on March 2, 1978. Ken and Hazel moved the family from Fort McMurray out to the farm in Lymburn in 1982, where he resided until his passing.

Ken enjoyed fishing, going to gun shows, and spending time lovingly picking on his granddaughter Tassi.

Ken will be sadly missed by his children: Richard (Nancy), Greg, and Krissa; granddaughter Tassi; sisters: Esther (Earl) Lawson, Irene LaCoursierse, Phyllis (Rob) Smith, and Joy Javorsky; numerous nieces and nephews; the Carrell family: Miles, Dora, and Monique; as well as many friends.

Ken was predeceased by his loving wife Hazel; parents Emile and Marguerite Javorsky; brothers Herb and George; sister Ethel; brother in-law Frank; sister in-law Gail; nephew Warren; niece Emily; fishing buddy Jim Third; as well as close family friend Frances (Nana) Carrell.

A Funeral Service will be held in the summer of 2022.

Memorial Donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada (202 - 11227 Jasper Ave., Edmonton, AB, T5K 0L5).

We are so sorry to hear of Ken's passing. We will always remember his visits to the field and his quick witted humour. Time meant nothing and he was never in a hurry. Your laughter still rings in our ears. Thanks for being such an easy going neighbour and friend. You will be missed. George and Marilyn Funk

So sorry to hear of Ken's passing. I spent many happy hours with Ken at the Hythe gas plant listening to his stories and learning from him. We had lots of fun with Ken's pipe, seeing what all we could hide in it and get him to smoke it. He was a great sport about it, he would pretend to get mad but we knew he secretly enjoyed it😀. Ken played a large part in my training when I first started at the plant and that training served me well throughout my career on the oil and gas industry. Stan
