Kelly McGregor Smith, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the age of 64 years.

Kelly always wore the warmest smile. If anyone needed help, he was there, and he never judged a soul. He spent many years operating trucks in the oil field. His main passion was operating hot oilers, and he even helped design a few of them in his time. Kelly loved anything with a motor, from his dirtbike to his sled to his car. He enjoyed camping and fishing, as well as a good paintball game with family and friends.

Kelly was incredibly devoted to his three daughters and eleven grandchildren. He was often found talking to his friends about his daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren.

Kelly is dearly missed by his daughter, Kellie-Lee (Andy), and their children, Aleena and Kyloh; daughter Jeremie (Joseph), and their children, Denton-Lee, Jaxson, Alivia, Avah, Logan, Lucas, and Dillion; daughter Louisia, and her children, Kaeleigh-Dawn and Jace; his sister, Louisa; and his brother, Donald. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, along with many others who looked to him as a father and grandfather figure.

He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Barbara, and his brothers, Scott, Darcy, and Jason.

In celebration of Kelly’s life, all are welcome to join the family on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at the Webster Community Hall (52081 Township Road 744a, Sexsmith, AB).
