Obituary For Karla Joy Aasen

Karla Aasen, age 60, passed away peacefully at her home on September 23, 2025. Born the fourth child and first daughter to Ken and Erva Aasen, she was known for her resilience and brought a touch of mischief wherever she went.

Karla had a sassy “kick-your-ass” attitude, a sharp sense of humor, and was always the life of the party. She loved spending time with family, Harley motorbikes, and having a good time with friends.

She is survived by her mother, Erva; brothers Jim and Bob; sister Shelley (Loren); and nieces and nephews Vanessa Wier, Cassie Wier (Justin and Frankie), Nicky Hemingson (Ryon, Kenedy, and Pacen), Katie Lantz (Jessie, Tanis, Jordie, and Aislyn), and Richard Peterson.

She was predeceased by her father, Ken, and brothers John and Rod.

A celebration of Karla’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Clairmont Community Center (old curling rink: 9819 100 Ave, Clairmont). All are welcome to come, enjoy a drink, and share memories.
