Obituary For Juliette Joyce Sonier (nee Seguin)

For all those who loved and were loved by her, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Juliette Seguin, on Monday, November 7, 2022, at the age of 57 years, following a fatal car accident in British Columbia.

Juliette will be remembered for her ceaseless generosity, kindness, infectious smile, and enormous heart, and for her deep and unwavering adoration and dedication to her boys. Her impact will carry on through the lives of those she touched. May your hearts be comforted knowing Juliette did not suffer in her final moments.

Juliette is survived by her three beloved sons: Justin, Remi, and Ryan; adored grandson Lennon; her dear siblings, and cherished extended family. Juliette impacted the lives of countless others, including those she cared for in her decades of service as a home-run daycare and childcare worker, and in her lifelong community of Hanmer, ON.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022, at The Valley East Lions Club (4611 St. Joseph St., Hanmer, ON). All are welcome to come at 6:00pm. The family asks if you could wear bright happy colors to reflect Juliette’s spirit and the way she approached life.

In lieu of flowers, please consider daily acts of kindness in Juliette's honor, or memorial donations to a cause of children welfare in Juliette's name.

I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Juliette's passing. We met in February and reconnected by phone the day before she left for Vancouver. We made plans to get together when she returned. I called and left a message and was puzzled that I had not heard from her. Now I am reading her obituary. Such a beautiful person - so full of energy, optimism, and spirit. I was looking forward to developing a friendship with her. My prayers go out to the sons and grandson she spoke so fondly about. Your mom was a breath of fresh air and I feel blessed to have crossed paths with her even for a brief time. May your lives be filled with loving memories of her and serve to soothe your grief in the days ahead. Deborah Cook

Aunt Julie was an amazing person. As one of the kids that went through her home, I can honestly say she had a major positive impact on my life and how I now raise my own children. Her heart was pure. And her soul will forever fly high. She will always be in our hearts. Thankyou Aunt Julie, for being the brightest light in my life and in the lives of everyone you touched. We will miss you xoxo

Offering sincere condolences to her family and friends. I have had the opportunity to know Juliette since we were kids in primary school. She was always so calm, kind and loving. I remember when she would come over to my parents place and we would listen to music on the record player and talk about everything and anything. Unfortunately on the day that she left this world, was the last time I talked to her and we shared and got caught up talking about our lives. She was so happy about being a grandma and shared a beautiful picture of herself and her little ray of sunshine. Juliette will truly be missed and will forever remain a beautiful memory to so many. soar high with the eagles my friend.
