Juanita Darlene Laviolette, of Beaumont, Alberta, passed away on July 4, 2026, at the age of 62.

Born on August 25, 1963, to Herbert Laviolette and Jacqueline Clevenger, Juanita was a strong, hardworking, and loving woman whose life was centered around the people she loved most.

Juanita was known for her great sense of humour, her incredible work ethic, and the deep love she had for her children, Tyler, Brina, and Hayle.

She also possessed a rare, magnetic warmth that allowed her to make a friend wherever she went. This boundless empathy extended far beyond people she knew, as she made a deliberate point of helping strangers in need and approaching every encounter with genuine kindness.

As a single mother, she raised her three children with unwavering strength and determination, teaching them the values of resilience, love, and perseverance. She was fiercely devoted to them, and they were equally devoted to her. Together, they made the best of the cards that were dealt.

Juanita was a remarkably versatile and driven woman who approached every new challenge with fearless curiosity and an innate ability to succeed. She refused to be defined by a single career path, moving fluidly between incredibly diverse fields — whether she was balancing complex books in accounting, managing critical protocols in safety, digging into the details as a private investigator, or working in the demanding environment of the mining industry. She had a passion for trying new things, viewing every unfamiliar opportunity not as an obstacle, but as a chance to learn and grow.

In the last 10 years, she built a career as a Heavy Equipment Operator, a profession she truly loved and took great pride in. She was never afraid of hard work, and her passion for operating heavy equipment and driving big trucks reflected her bold spirit, independence, and determination.

She is survived by her children, Tyler Laviolette, Brina Garberg, and Hayle Garberg, and by her brothers, Leigh Laviolette, Ivan Thomsen, Curtis Couturier, and Colin Clevenger. She was predeceased by her parents and by her siblings, Rhonda Laviolette and Byron Laviolette.

Juanita will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her laughter, her resilience, and the unwavering love she gave to her family, friends, and all those who crossed her path. Her strength, kindness, and enduring spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Sexsmith Civic Centre (99 Ave, Sexsmith, AB).
