Obituary For Jordan Maria Zambonelli

Jordan Maria Zambonelli, resident of Calgary. AB, formerly of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at her apartment in Calgary, at the age of 25 years.

Jordan was born on November 21, 1996, in Edmonton, AB, and grew up in Grande Prairie. Jordan attended Alexander Forbes for grades 1-9, and then Grande Prairie Composite Highschool.

Jordan from birth was a bright, eccentric girl with an endless love for all people and life. A passionate vegan and humanitarian, she devoted herself to treating all living souls with kindness. She never hesitated to provide compassion to a stranger in need; saving multiple lives doing so and was a stalwart champion for the ethical treatment of all animals. Jordan brought happiness to all that she met, creating dozens of close friendships over her life.

Jordan was a devote spiritualist and believed that peace was to be found through attunement with nature. She often participated in holistic healing ceremonies as a method of finding comfort and building friendships. Jordan was also a lifelong artist; using drawing and painting as her favourite way to express herself while frequently modeling for other artists.

Jordan will be greatly missed by both her parents Chrystle Healey and Michael Zambonelli; her older brother Dylan; older sister Charlie; beloved former partner Jacobus; her lifelong best friends Shaylene and Heath; as well as many close friends she made throughout her life.

A Viewing will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022, from 7:00 - 9:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

A invite-only Celebration of Life will be held on Wendesday, January 19, 2022, at 2:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home.

A Livestream of the service will be accessible 10 minutes prior to the service on Jordan’s obituary on Oliver’s Funeral Home website.

I didn't know Jordan long. For a while she lived in the loaf suite above the place I was renting. I remember sitting outside in the grass with her just taking. Her sharing vegan treats with my kiddo and how genuine her love for everyone was. I remember her being outside and inviting my kiddo to sit with her while they both drew. She encouraged my kiddos unique style and let them know that someone outside of family found their art amazing. My condolences to her family and heart friends. May the good memories help you through this difficult time.

I am so saddened to hear this. Jordan was in my class my first year of teaching. She won my heart quickly and I always enjoyed when she would come to Forbes after she graduated to visit and ask for advice. She will be missed. My condolences to all family and friends.
