Johan “John” Strand, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at the QEII Hospital, at the age of 89 years.

John was born on February 26, 1929, in La Glace, AB.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Gladys; son Shayne; sister in-law Judy Strand and nieces and nephews in Alberta; brother in-law Wayne (Susan) Kemp and nieces and nephews in Tennessee; as well as numerous family members in Norway.

He was predeceased by his parents Bernard and Jorunn, brother Bert, and his in-laws in Tennessee.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018, at 11:00am, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).
