Obituary For Jim Talbot
Jim Talbot, resident of Teepee Creek and Hythe, AB, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
Jim was born in Sexsmith, AB, to parents Alene and Oliver Talbot. He was a cute little redhead, quite fearless, and strong-willed from day one.
Jim worked as a rig hand and hired hand for local farmers. He also worked in Norman Wells, which he loved. That experience gave him very fond memories—especially the fishing. His greatest joys in life were his grandchildren, going fishing, and telling stories.
Jim is survived by his children: Matthew (Robin) and Melodee, and their mother, Wendy; ten grandchildren; his sisters, Chrissy, Val (Chris), and Rhonda (Tustan); and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Dolores; and his brother, Russell.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Teepee Creek Hall.
