Obituary For Jean Phyllis Bartsch

Jean Phyllis Bartsch, resident of Beaverlodge, AB, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at the Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital, at the age of 57 years.

Jean was born on May 19, 1964, in High River, AB. She moved to the Peace Country with her parents in April 1978, and went to school in Hythe and Beaverlodge. In 1985, she met Mitchell Bartsch, they fell in love, started a family, and got married on September 12, 1986. Jean and Mitchell lived in Hythe for two years, and moved to Beaverlodge where they resided and raised their family. They were married 35 years.

Jean loved crafts, her grandchildren, gardening, and collecting trinkets.

Jean will be sadly missed by her husband Mitchell Bartsch; children: Anna Marie Leman (Carmen Bezanson), Tracy (Justin) Hoffe, Charlie Bartsch (Jess Sams), and Billy (Amanda) Bartsch; grandchildren: Colton Jarcyk, Jayden Bartsch, Lucas Bartsch, Farren Hoffe, Hailey Hoffe, and Rebecca Hoffe; nieces and nephews: Luke Beaton, Mackenzie Beaton, Austin Beaton, Dillon Leman, Shelby Leman, Matthew Prus, Brooklyn Prus, and Nicole Prus; brothers: Howard (Janine) Leman, Danny Leman, and Carl Leman (Natalie Fischer); sister Dawn (Ernie) Beaton; as well as her in-laws: Ivy Bartsch, Dave Bartsch, Rodney Bartsch (Colleen Thiemann), and Myrna (Darren) Prus.

Jean was predeceased by her father Edward Leman on March 9, 1981; as well as her mother June Leman on February 27, 2011.

Information for a funeral service will be announced at a later date.
