Lemieux Dan
On behalf of all active members, retired members and past volunteers of the Grande Prairie Fire Department, I offer condolences to the family on the passing of James "Fred" Dobbyn. As the Grande Prairie Fire Department reaches its 100th Anniversary in 2015, we have conducted extensive research into our past. We have come to appreciate the contribution Fred made to the department over the years. His twenty-years of service have helped shape the Department into what it has become today. For that we are very thankful. Dan Lemieux, Fire Chief Grande Prairie Fire Department

My thoughts are with all the Dobbyn Family. Mr. Dobbyn was the nicest fellow ever to talk to and quite a character. I really enjoyed listening and sharing laughs with Dad, Mr. Dobbyn, Todd, Bill, Larry (etc.) out in Grovedale. Good Times!!!
