Obituary For Jamee Raquel Lojczyc (Janzen)

Jamee was born on August 21, 2006, in High Level, AB, and was raised primarily in the Webster area on an acreage. Her parents, Bill and Lynn Janzen, have five children; Jamee was the middle child with two older brothers and two younger sisters. Jamee was in a tragic car accident on Thursday, October 15, 2026, and was welcomed into heaven by her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

If sunshine could be a person, that person was Jamee. She gave her heart to Jesus as a little girl; His joy flowed through her endlessly. She had a large, bright smile that lit up every room. Her kind, uplifting words and actions always radiated Christ’s love. She was bubbly, outgoing, carefree, spunky, adventurous, dramatic, and funny. Her imagination was without limits, as she wrote poetry and skits, often starring in them herself. She was always dancing, singing, laughing, and spreading her contagious joy to everyone around her. Jamee had an extraordinary gift of making people feel special, valued, and loved. Her warm heart and joyful spirit touched so many lives, which is why she was blessed with so many treasured friendships.

Jamee was born with a song in her heart and a deep love for music. She grew up singing alongside her family and was a gifted vocalist and mandolin player. In 2019 her family formed a band, ‘Road to Surrender’, performing at numerous Gospel Jamborees. When Jamee and her sister Jayda sang together, their voices blended beautifully, creating an angelic harmony that touched the hearts of all who listened.

During the same time, Jamee was diagnosed with scoliosis. This started a three-year journey of treatments with trips back and forth to California. She was so brave and strong during these painful procedures.

Jamee’s heart was to reach young people for Jesus. She was a leader at La Glace Youth Group for many years. In 2024, Jamee joined the worship band, ‘Before the Throne’, where she sang harmony and played the mandolin. Jamee had organized another worship band who were to have their first practice the night she passed. They will continue to meet to honour Jamee’s passion for worship and these events will be called ‘Jamee’s Worship’.

Jamee worked at the Sexsmith Early Child Development Center. She loved children dearly and they loved her right back. Her infectious laughter, adventurous spirit, silly dancing videos, and the genuine care and concern she showed for others made each day fun and memorable for everyone around her. Going to Crumbs Café at lunchtime to get a very specific latte was Jamee’s favourite thing to do. After her passing, Crumbs honoured Jamee by naming her custom drink, ‘Jamee’s latte.’

Jamee married the love of her life, Reece, on September 12, 2026, in a beautiful outdoor ceremony held at her uncle and aunt’s, near Webster. They celebrated late into the night, singing and dancing, surrounded by family and friends. It was a perfect day that will forever remain a treasured memory for all. Soon after, they traveled to Maui for their honeymoon, where they adventured for ten days, swimming, surfing, climbing waterfalls, and finding coffee shops. Jamee and Reece shared a deep love for Jesus and each other. Their desire was to serve Him in their marriage, and they were able to do this together for 33 precious days.

Jamee leaves behind her beloved husband, Reece Lojczyc; her loving parents, Bill and Lynn; her siblings, Mason (Martha) and their children, Grayson, Adalee, and Beckett, Taylor (Chloe), Jayda, and Erin; and her in-laws, Andrew and Jodi, Davis (Clay) and daughter Harlow Van Dyk, True (Kade) Forsyth, and Nate (Mckenzy). Jamee was surrounded by extended family who are far too many to name. They all loved her so much and helped build her strong foundation of faith that made her the amazing person she was.

Jamee’s favourite verse was 2 Corinthians 4:16, “So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.” While performing at the Gospel Jamboree in August 2026, Jamee spoke these words from the stage: “Happiness is something that the world can give you, and it’s a temporary high, but joy is something that is only from Christ, and you can have it regardless of your circumstance.”

Jamee’s funeral will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 1:00 pm, at People’s Church (11850-108 St, Grande Prairie, AB), followed by a luncheon. Afterward, interment will take place at Bethel Cemetery (734036 Range Rd 80, Sexsmith, AB).

Bill & Lynn & Family, We did not know Jamee personally, but seeing her in posts from the time she went through her journey of scoliosis, seeing her being so strong and brave, to her singing her heart out, to watching and hearing her sing with joy and radiance for her Savior has been such a blessing! Our hearts are so saddened by your tremendous loss, we are at loss of words, but we will continue to pray for you, may the Lord Jesus, our comforter be your comfort, may He give you strength for every moment of each day, may His peace that surpasses all understanding surround you. "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." Psalm 23:4 ESV "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18 ESV With Love, Abe & Mary Zacharias

Reece, Jodi and Andrew ... I was absolutely shocked when I heard the news. I haven't seen Reece since he was a young boy but I have seen the wedding pictures and Jamee was stunningly beautiful and had such a genuine smile. Everyone looked so very happy and I loved the way Reece looked at her. These pictures are amazing! I know you will treasure them always as that is what happiness and love look like! Such a strong message that you never know what tomorrow will bring and to live each day to the fullest! I'm so very sad for all of you, especially Reece as they were just beginning their lives together. Some people go through their entire lives never knowing that much happiness. Such a shocking tragedy and I can offer no words that can make this hurt any less.... but do know I am thinking of you all. My condolences to Jamee's family as well.
