Jake Michael Popovich a resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Dawson Creek, BC, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at home in Grande Prairie at the age of 26 years.

Jake was born November 15, 1997 in Dawson Creek, BC. He was raised in British Columbia and Alberta, graduating from Beaverlodge, AB as part of the “Class of 2016.”

Jake worked in construction, the oil patch and heavy equipment. He was a hard-worker and well-liked. He always expressed and showed his love for family and friends.

Jake was outgoing, adventurous, a comedian and always made others smile. He had a big heart and personality. He will be missed by many.

Jake loved playing his harmonica, reading Stephen King novels, philosophy, poetry, a variety of music, arts and animals. He also loved cars and driving, “In most cases others would ask if they could drive.” He enjoyed hockey and rarely missed a Calgary Flames game.

Jake is survived by his parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends “young, old and from all walks of life.” He loved them all.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 12:00pm at 69 Meadowview Trailer Park (55011 TWP 714), Grande Prairie, AB.
