Obituary For Heidi Threasa Heitrich

Heidi Heitrich, resident of Grande Prairie AB, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at the University Hospital in Edmonton, AB, at the young age of 37 years.

Heidi was born on September 14, 1984, in Grande Prairie. She was raised in Wembley, AB, and attended the Catholic Schools in Grande Prairie until she graduated from St. Joe’s Highschool in 2002. She went on to become a hairstylist, thriving in her newly discovered passion.

From the day she was born, Heidi captured the heart of everyone she met. She embraced every day of her life and encapsulating Heidi’s personality on paper is impossible. She genuinely cared for every person and animal that crossed her path and consistently took time for EVERYONE, even complete strangers. She made every person feel important and like they mattered. She loved her faith, travelling, the heat from the sun, time with family and friends, dancing, and she LOVED to laugh, and laugh she did! Her laugh was contagious. You could be in a completely different room, but when she was laughing, without knowing the reason why, you couldn’t help but laugh with her. She loved to make memories and could easily be talked into last-minute road trips and anything that she thought would be lots of fun.

Heidi made an impact in her 37 years that most people don’t make in their lifetime of 80 years. Heidi’s faith in Jesus was prominent to the point that she tattooed his name down the side of her body. By God’s grace, she has become His most epic angel and we will forever feel her presence. She lived life to its fullest and she truly made the world a better place. Heidi was compassionate, genuine, and perfectly imperfect.

She will be greatly missed by her parents Doug and Carrie Heitrich; sisters Mandy Jensen and Trisha Scheck; her big brothers Dustin Jensen and Matt Scheck; nieces and nephews: Levi Heitrich (Jade Gerrard), Brody Jensen, Alex Scheck, Kali Scheck, Dreyson Jensen, Pyper Jensen, and Rhogen Jensen; great-nephews (to which she called herself Grantie instead of great auntie): Jensen Gerrard and Ellwood Heitrich; boyfriend Jamie Bailey, and his parents Debbie and Jim Bailey, his brother Bobby Bailey (Kelsey Tofteland), his sister Kelsey Weller (Keegan Weller), and his nieces and nephews: Daxon Weller, Dani Weller and Bennett Bailey; her Art and Soul family; as well as many endless family and friends.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, Daniel and Virginia Heitrich, and Arthur Lefley, Uncle Bernie, Auntie Audrey, Auntie Janet, as well as her cousin Brett.

A Viewing will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021, from 6:00pm–8:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave).

After the viewing, due to current Covid restrictions, our inside capacity is limited to 50 people, so we ask you not to gather inside, but after paying respects that you socialize outside.

An Invite-Only Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021, at 2:00pm.

A link will be available 15 minutes prior to the service on Heidi’s obituary on Oliver’s Funeral Home Website.

When I got my hair done at ART & SOUL, I would be chatting with Danielle, my hairdresser, & suddenly you would hear this rip roaring infectious laughter from Heidi. You couldn't help but laugh along with her. My condolences to all her family and her friends at ART & SOUL.

Heidi was one of my hair dressers since her days at Hair craft. I am very saddened by this news, as Heid was one of the purest, sweetest gals I have ever met, and had the pleasure of knowing her for many years. I will miss her laugh and her new daily hairstyles. RiP Heidi, you were one of those gals that will always leave a smile on my face. Every time I hear Pink singing, I think of Heidi and how much she loved her, because she was her own person, so I leave you Heidi with this quote from Pink. "People that live their truth, are probably made fun of every day of their lives, and carry on, and wave their flag, and inspire the rest of us"

Heidi has been my hairstylist for the last at least 15 years. I always looked forward to coming in to see Heidi. She not only made me look the best she she also made me feel the best. She was always so positive and she always made me laugh. Even if she was laughing with another co worker it would make me laugh just to hear her laugh. You her family should be so very proud of the young woman she was. She truly was the best, she loved her family so much. She was so excited about her new great nephew Elwood who she was so excited she had gotten to see him. My most sincere condolences you her family, her boyfriend Jamie, her ArtNSoul family. Can't imagine life without Heidi. Yvonne Cloutier

I felt like Heidi was my little sister, our birthdays were 3 days apart and we always planned haircuts around them. I truly think I told her everything and she was always there to share a big laugh or a teary eye. Her hugs were the best, and that smile and laugh! The world became a better place anytime you got to witness it💚 I truly feel like I lost a best friend, but I have the most amazing angel looking out for me now. The thunder claps will be her foot stomping and the rain will be laughing so hard she cries! The sun rises and sun sets will be her beautiful brightness that she exuded. This world lost an amazing person, but the heavens gained an incredible soul! Dance hard, laugh often and look around in awe at the simple things. As we do that our sweet Heidi will be by our side. I love you to the moon and back Heidi, you will always be with me💚💚
