Glen Nelson Gallant was sent by God to earth on August 12, 1952, and returned to God on Monday, July 21, 2025, in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 72 years.

He was married and had four children: Kate-Lynn, Shane, James, and Micayla.

Glen heard about God’s love from Pastors Mel and Shirley King in Salmon Arm, B.C., and received Jesus’ free gift of salvation in the early 1990s. He was baptized in the Simonette River on August 28, 2016, by Pastor Brent King of Christ Community Church in Grande Prairie.

Glen loved to work with horses. He was also a “Glen-of-all-trades” and did many outdoor landscaping and building jobs throughout Alberta and British Columbia.

Glen took pleasure in motor and pedal-biking everywhere, even through the winter on his wide-tire bike. He also loved classic cars and could be found at many car shows. He enjoyed running, hiking, or riding horses in the back country alone, with friends, or in relays. He had many musical instruments over the years and loved to play and sing.

Glen loved people, so he joined one of the city’s church teams that visits seniors’ homes to hold a monthly church service. Glen also worked tirelessly to find church communities for people new to Grande Prairie. His commitment to helping people was inspiring.

In reflecting on his life, Glen lived it big, but also in everyday moments of God’s grace, generosity, and love. Daniel 11:32b says, “people who know their God shall be strong and do exploits.” May this be his legacy, as it was Daniel’s.

A memorial service for Glen will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 11:00 am at Christ Community Church (10106 112 Ave) in Grande Prairie. All are welcome.
