Gladys Karpisek, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at the age of 87 years.

Gladys was born on March 20, 1936, to George Evans Cooper and Mary Cook Cooper (nee MacNeill), and grew up with her siblings: Alice, Herb (Denise), Margaret (Phil), Gary, Frank, Cora, and Betty.

Gladys enjoyed a variety of things such as gardening, camping, reading, baking, knitting, word searches, and she enjoyed being a homemaker.

Gladys will be sadly missed by her children: Connie (Bruce), David, Wayne (Heidi), Lyle (Allisen), and Tracy (Dan); grandchildren: Travis, Nicole, Diana (Pat), Amanda (Mike), Jessica, Jayden, Ashten, and Ashley; great-grandchildren: Shayla, Austin, Dylan, Kyla, Alyssa, Kayden, Emily, Ethan, and Eveya; as well as great great-grandchild Elena.

Gladys was predeceased by her parents George and Mary; brother Gary; sister Cora; son David; nephews David and Ross; grandson Travis; as well as brother in-law Gordon.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 11:00am, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).
