Girnaldo “Jun” Dadios Aplan, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital at the age of 52 years.

Girnaldo “Jun” Aplan was a man of boundless heart and unwavering strength. A devoted husband and the best father his five children could have asked for, he was the steady anchor of our family.

He was also a caring presence to his wider circle, always ready to help his siblings, cousins, nephews, niece, and friends whenever they needed him. Jun lived his life through his actions—selfless, generous, and always ready to help those in need.

He faced life’s challenges with remarkable resilience and a sense of humour, often filling our home with laughter and playful banter. Whether he was cheering on the Lakers, mastering a game of Pusoy, or enjoying a karaan film and music, he found joy in the simple things and shared that joy with everyone around him.

He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and a family who loved him deeply. Though he is no longer with us, his heart remains the foundation of our lives. He was our strength, our hero, and now our angel.

He will be missed beyond measure.

A Funeral Service celebrating the life of Girnaldo “Jun” Aplan will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Oliver’s Funeral Home. A viewing will take place prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Following the service, friends and family are invited to join the family for a luncheon in Oliver’s Tea Room. Interment will follow at the Grande Prairie Cemetery (84 Avenue and 112 Street).

For those who cannot attend in person, the celebration will be livestreamed. A link will be available shortly before the service.
