Obituary For George Paul Podulsky
George Paul Podulsky, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Bezanson, AB, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at his home in the arms of his loving wife, at the age of 89 years.
George was born in Bezanson on April 11, 1936, to parents Paul and Mary Podulsky. In 1960, he married the love of his life, Ednid. Together, George and Ednid raised three children.
Over the years, George held many roles that reflected his dedication and strong work ethic. He began his career working on the rigs, later took a position at the hospital, and eventually retired as the manager of Grande Spirit.
George will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and his talent for making others laugh with a quick joke. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, and snowmobiling. George also loved playing poker at the Legion and was an active member of the Swan City Snowmobile Club, where he played a significant role in its community.
George will be sadly missed by his wife, Ednid, and daughter Stacey Anderson. Grandchildren Tristian Anderson, Jaydyn Anderson, and Chase Anderson, as well as Paul (Lou) Podulsky, Myron (Dianne) Podulsky, Maryanne Halwa, and Barb Greentree.
He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Mary Podulsky, his children Bill and Mona Podulsky, his brothers Stan, Alex, and Tony Podulsky, and his sisters Julie Thompson, Velma Lancaster, and Carol Kulas.
A celebration of life for George will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home (10005 107 Ave.) in Grande Prairie, AB.
In George’s memory, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
