Gary Eugene Ure, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Prairie Lake Seniors Community, at the age of 82 years.

Gary was born on March 4, 1940, in Lloydminster, SK, and raised in Marwayne, AB. He loved his job as an electrician, and he also enjoyed music, baseball, the outdoors, and to tinker.

He loved to tell jokes. He was always prepared to help people, his tool kit went everywhere he went. The only thing he would sit down for was a good cup of coffee, and a conversation.

Gary loved to spend time with his family, and he enjoyed travelling.

Gary will be sadly missed by his wife Judy Ure; children: Roland Gritsch, Lanis (Tim) Robinson, and Lora (Nicholas) Hansen; as well as grandchildren: Kadence Hansen, Sam Hansen, Avery Robinson, Brook Hansen, Connor Robinson, and Brody Hansen.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023, at 1:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

A Livestream of the service will be accessible 15 minutes prior to the service on Gary’s obituary on Oliver’s Funeral Home website.
