Obituary For Garry Wilson
Garry Wilson, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at UofA Hospital in Edmonton, AB, at the age of 72 years.
Garry was born March 23, 1948 in Bracken, SK. He moved from Saskatchewan to Bezanson, AB at the age of 14. This is where he met the love of his life Dianne! Garry drove gravel truck for Henry Ford and log trucks for Albert Decock. He then formed a partnership with Kimble Bros., where he bought his first log truck. He then went on to form Garry Wilson Trucking in 1973 and moved to the oil patch hauling heavy equipment for Wales Contractors and his brother Ken Wilson.
Garry enjoyed many summers at the cabin towing numerous kids and families up and down the lake. He loved laughing, curling, golf, traveling with their many friends (especially in his motorhome), the casino (his church), his grandchildren, and dogs (all dogs loved Garry).
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 51 years Dianne Wilson; daughter Rhonda (Wayne) Bloomfield and grandchildren: Austin, Adam, Kaleb, and Kelcey; son Wyatt (Renee) Wilson and granddaughters: Tanner, Gitzel (Justin), and Sydney, Lexie Heron, and McKenzie (Jamie) Cox; mother in-law Louise Kimble; brothers
Terry (Inge) Wilson and Ken (Joan) Wilson; brothers in-law: Albert (Carol) Robideu, Melvin Kimble, and David (Sharon) Kimble; and sisters in-law Carol (Neil) Murphy and Donna (Sam) Kloberdanz.
Garry was predeceased by his parents Lud and Bertha Wilson, and father in-law Herman Kimble.
Live stream of Garry’s celebration of life can be viewed on Garry Wilson Trucking Facebook Page on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 2:00pm. (https://www.facebook.com/GarryWilsonTrucking/) Please feel free to join the family in wearing Garry Wilson Trucking Blue!
