Obituary For Garry Frank Ford

Garry Frank Ford, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Prince George, BC, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 56 years.

Garry was a loving son, husband, father and friend. He was a loyal Islanders fan, loved hockey (although he did not skate). He also greatly enjoyed cooking and hanging out with family and friends where he could repeat his many jokes and laugh a lot (mostly to himself).

He will be sadly missed by his wife Kimberly, daughter Cheyenne, parents Frank and Gladys, and sister Sandi (Stacey). Nieces Danny (Josh), Sam, Rikki (Kevin); nephews Riley and Craig; uncle Carl, and aunt Judy (Neil). Acquired family members: Terry (2ND nut), Dennis and Ashley (3rd teat and inner voice), Ken and Karen (the observer and female equivalent of himself), Bill (personal Uber driver), Daryl (boy next door and strato partner), and many more friends and in-laws.

A gathering to remember Garry will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Oliver’s Funeral Home Columbarium at the Grande Prairie Cemetery.

My Garry was always looking out for us. When he moved us from Prince George in 2001 I was terrified. I had no family in Grande Prairie. No friends. Cheyenne was only 2. " "Don't worry " he said ," My crew at work are like family. You'll see. " and he was right. 24 yrs later those "key" people from that crew have been a huge part of his life. Not just friends anymore, but who have become our extended family and are still very much in our lives and hearts. " Good people" he would say. He would have done anything for you guys(&gals) just as you would for him (and for me & Cheyenne) His crew has become my crew and I know we're going to be okay. All of us. And thank you to my husband, wherever you are, for hooking me up. ❤️
