I think the first time I meet Gail and Irwin was around 1978 or so. They came to visit Rod in FSJ and I was living with Rod. The turkey dinner didn't go as planned but we made it happen or rather I should say Rod did. I feel fortunate to have meet them and for so many more memories over the years. Absolutely the kindest people. Thanks for the livestream,,great to be able to have watched it. There kindness and wisdom will be missed by many. Gord Hildebrand

Thinking about you all , especially today Cath & Russ. Your Mom was the most giving, gracious and spunky soul. She certainly knew how to provide that extra TLC when needed. She worked hard at bringing people into her life that needed special attention, Of course I have forever felt indebted to her for putting my hubby up in Kamloops for that long stretch of time. For me.. one of my most memorable times with Gail was when your parents came to visit us, we decided to go have a road trip and travel down to Monroe, Washington to visit with Lynn. We had a marathon poker game where of course, as always Gail shone, didn't matter what Lynn did to try to stop her winning, he doubled down and did whatever he could, but not enough to take on his sis! We had so many laughs that weekend.. I will cherish that forever. Any time Gail & Irwin came down to the coast to visit they always got the cookout started and delivered these amazing meals. Of course there is always something to do, they never hesitated or even asked and just buckled down to help in anyway possible. I truly loved listening in on Rod's calls with Gail...she was so engaged in people's lives she could answer any questions in regards to anyone. Her memory always amazed me...she was truly a treasure, an incredible human being, one that will be remarkably missed. She's now where she wanted to be, next to the love of her life. We love you all and send our love your way, Karen Lockhart

Goodnight my sweet sweet Sis. Side by side now with your lifelong love. No more pain finally. Thank you for sending me a lifeline in those troubled times as a teen. I moved into your home already packed with 3 others receiving your unending hospitality. When I told my family and friends of your passing they instantly recalled the laughs and the fun you and Erwin took everywhere you went. Your loved ones present today and those like me from far away will all have the same stories because you were blessed with the gift of hospitality. Everyone will remember your smile. I am so grateful for your love and the nurturing you gave me and my wife and kids are too because you made a better husband and father from it. I will always love you sweet Sis. I plan to keep talking to you. I bet Erwin loved meeting Skip up there. Erwin told me so many incidents of things moving or go missing and he blamed it all on Skips Spirit. Till we meet again, absolutly your favorite brother.
