Frances Hellen Sak, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Hines Creek, AB, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie, at the age of 76 years.

Frances was born May 25, 1945, in Highland Park, AB, northwest of Fairview, AB, on the farm, to Willie and Anne Snisarenko. Frances was the fourth oldest of 10 children. She spent most of her life in Alberta but also loved and lived in the Okanagan where she perfected her homemade wine. In 2005, Frances and Harry moved back to Grande Prairie to be closer to their kids and grandkids.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Harry Sak; children: Stella Hougestal (Don Mills), Rose Sak, Ron Sak (Lona Poleon), Theresa (Brad) Fidler, and Trevor (Kristi) Sak; grandchildren: Terry, Travis, Gail, Amanda, Rachel, Jesse, Cassandra, Nathan, Tony, Brendan, Margot, Mandy, Kirsten, Jayden, and Caleb; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings: Shirley, Paul, Leo, Benny and their spouses; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Frances was predeceased by her parents Willie and Anne Snisarenko; and siblings: Ivan, Archie, Rosie, Tiny, and Donna.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 2:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.). Due to Covid, please contact Theresa if you wish to attend thaffner@telus.net
