Obituary For Ernest Rumbolt

Ernest Rumbolt, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Norris Point, NL, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021, in Grande Prairie, at the age of 59 years.

He was born in Norris Point, NL, on April 16, 1961, to Lovelet and Carl Rumbolt. He relocated to Grande Prairie in 1978 and was a truck driver for 35+ years.

Ernie loved camping, fishing, chuckwagon racing, and visiting with family and friends.

He had an amazing sense of humour, was kind, generous, genuine, and got his joy from helping others.

Ernie will be sadly missed by his partner of 19 years, Shelly Vigen; Shelly’s children: Josh Vigen, Matt Vigen and Abbey (Brad) Gavin; step-children Jackie (Kelly) Lefley and Derek Stone; several grandchildren; siblings: Ted (Judy) Rumbolt, Sandra (Maurice) McCue, Gwen Kerri, Keith Rumbolt, Rick (Patty) Rumbolt and Bruce (Sharon) Rumbolt; numerous nieces and nephews who loved him very much; and countless friends.

He was predeceased by his father Carl Rumbolt; mother Lovelet Rumbolt (nee McKenzie); brother Gerald Rumbolt; and grandson Ethan Gavin.

A Memorial Service will be held on July 26, 2023 at 4:00pm in Norris Point, NL. The service be located at The Lion's Den in Norris Point.

    Ernie was a great guy, always looked forward to his presence in the shop. He was always full of good humour, and will miss that for sure. My deepest condolences to his faimly. God bless
