Emmanuel Cruzado Pilar, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Muntinlupa City, Philippines, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital at the age of 63 years.

Emmanuel was born on September 2, 1963, in Barangay Malinao, Torrijos, Marinduque, Philippines. He worked as a seafarer for 26 years and lived in Canada for eight years with his family. Emmanuel was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. A kind, hardworking man, he greatly enjoyed spending time with his family. He will always be remembered for his love, care, and dedication to his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Known for his patient heart, Emmanuel had a deep love for his family. He was prayerful, thoughtful, thrifty, and enduring. He was passionate about singing, listening to the Word of God, and watching reels that brought him joy.

Emmanuel will be sadly missed by his wife, Marita Pilar; his children, Kimpee Pilar, Emmarie Jane Recaña, Khristian Joy Pilar, and Rafael Emmanuel Pilar; and his grandchildren, Aera Mae Recaña, Michela Jane Recaña, Matt Angelo Recaña, Kyle Emmanuel Pilar, Luna Gianna Pilar, and Selene Pilar.

A viewing took place on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005-107 Ave).

The funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grande Prairie (10404-102 St), preceded by a viewing at 1:30 p.m. Following the mass, interment will take place at the Grande Prairie Cemetery (84 Ave and 112 St).
