Obituary For Elsie Marjorie Eastman O'Connell

Elsie passed away peacefully in her 94th year on Wednesday, August 19, 2015.

Elsie is survived by her children: Margaret Quinlan, Carol Brochu, Marj (Terry) Daniels, Terry (Colleen) O’Connell and Wayne (Merilie) O’Connell; 15 grandchildren and their spouses; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister Joan (Day) Isley. Elsie also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and extended O’Connell families.

Elsie was predeceased by her husband Mick O’Connell, sons in-law John Brochu and Ed Quinlan, parents James and Dorothy Eastman, sisters Ellen (Wes) Goodman, Irene (August) Stolee, brothers Jim Eastman, Robert Eastman, Tommy Eastman.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 24, 2015 at 11:00am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Beaverlodge (1107 1st St.).

At Elsie’s request, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Association of Alberta (Unit 109 10126 120 Ave. Grande Prairie, AB T8V 8H9).

    Sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom, Wayne, and your Mother in law, Merille. It is difficult , to say the least when we lose a parent. But more so perhaps when Mother leaves us.     Elsie was a good friend to me for a long time. We lived in Hythe Pioneer Lodge together.
