Obituary For Eileen "Pat" Patricia Wald (nee Williamson)

Pat Wald, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Berwyn, AB, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, in Grande Prairie at the age of 88 years.

Eileen Patricia Williamson was born on March 8, 1937, in Berwyn to Doris and Alvin Williamson. She was the middle child of three girls. They grew up in Brownvale, AB, and graduated High School in Berwyn. Pat obtained her Registered Nursing Degree after completing her training in Edmonton and Red Deer, AB, and worked in the Berwyn Hospital for many years. Pat married Frank Wald in 1960, and together they raised JoAnn and Terry in Berwyn.

Pat will be dearly missed by her daughter JoAnn (Wayne) McKen; son Terry Wald (Janet Henry); grandchildren: Krista McKen (Chester Dodgson), Terry (Chelsea) McKen, Kelli McKen (Jordan Ridley), Derek Wald (Shelley Nerbas), Kassi (Cody) MacLaughlin, and Blake Wald; great-grandchildren: Denver and Lincoln French, Harper and Haleigh Richardson, Beckham French, Luke and Emma McKen, Luca Wald, Beau and Blake MacLaughlin; as well as her sister Peggy Wald.

She was predeceased by her husband Frank; sister Betty Ross; as well as several brothers and sisters in-law.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 2:00pm, at the Elks Hall in Berwyn (4925 49 St.).

Memorial Donations may be made to Bandaged Paws Animal Rescue Association (12220 104 Ave., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 8A8).
