Edna was like a second mom to me when I was 12. She was always kind to me and had extra breakfast for me when all of the kids went to school in the morning. She made the BEST bannock. She kept the house clean and took care of everyone in the house. My sister's and I lived 2 houses away so we were always at her place playing with her kids. It was always good times at Edna's.

Edna was a very special beautiful woman. Strong & caring in her gentle loving way. It was always a joy to see her, to be around her, to share hugs & laughs. When I heard she walked on to the spirit world, my response was, 'how I loved that woman.' My sincere condolences to her children & their families; ;her brothers & families; friends Margaret Kappo Sturgeon lake Cree nation

I'm so sad that you're gone....I would have loved a visit with you one last time...You had such a contagious laugh, I remember it like yesterday even though it's been since I was little I saw you last. I'll always remember the huge pots of porrige on the stove...and always a little runny to make sure there was enough for all of us littles from next door. The bannok cooking in the oven, deer carcasses hanging in the garage. Your family was my first exposure to indigenous culture and I will be forever grateful for those experiences. Sadly, I haven't had that exposure since then. I loved coming over as a kid...the house was always full of anties and uncles, cousins, people playing cards and guitars...your home was rich with love...a safe place for me as a child...THANK YOU for that Edna and Alex. Much love to you all grieving this beautiful lady, she will be missed dearly. xoxoxox
