Obituary For Edith Alberta Patterson

Edith Patterson, resident of St. Albert, AB, formerly of Grande Prairie, AB, as well as Bezanson, AB, was taken home to be with her Lord on Friday, March 14th, 2025, at the age of 98 years.

She will be forever missed by her daughters Dianne Fowler, Elaine (Roger) Carle, sons Gerald (Raye Lynn) Patterson, Larry (Lori) Patterson, eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, sister Fern (Ron) Joyce, as well as Jean and Marie Clair, who make a special part of the “three amigos.”

Edith was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Milfred, daughter Linda Cage, and son-in-law Brian Fowler.

The Celebration of Life for Edith will take place on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 12:00 at Oliver's Funeral Home in Grande Prairie with Rev. Jonathan Sigglekow officiating. A luncheon will follow the service. Interment to follow at Glen Leslie Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

    My heartfelt condolences to Edith's family. We met as colleagues at the Grande Prairie Health Unit and stayed in contact through the years. She was a no-nonsense type of person and always told you what she thought with kindness and an appreciated straightforward manner. I will miss our phone calls and catch ups.
