Dwayne Gladue, resident of Winnipeg, MB, formerly of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025, in Winnipeg, at the age of 57 years.

On June 30, 1968, Dwayne was born in Dawson Creek, BC. When he was seven years old, he moved with his foster parents to Winnipeg. Dwayne lived in Winnipeg for most of his life but also spent short periods of time in Dawson Creek and Grande Prairie.

He had a wonderful sense of humour. Dwayne was a giver—he would always help anyone who needed it and did much volunteering. For over 30 years, he was a traditional pow-wow dancer and drummer.

Dwayne will be sadly missed by his children, Terri, Dwayne, Jr., Michael, and Flora; six grandchildren; sisters Theresa Gladue (Kent) and Patsy Erickson (Marty); brother-in-law Ken Wheatley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Marie Lisa; sister Cyndy Gladue Wheatley; parents Lorne Mineault and Caroline Gladue; his foster parents; grandparents Gilbert and Louise Gladue, and Hilaire and Mary Mineault; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service to honour Dwayne’s life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave). A luncheon will be provided.
