We offer families the opportunity to prepare and submit obituary notices written in their own words. We believe this allows each tribute to authentically reflect the life and legacy of the individual. To honour each tribute, obituaries are published as approved by the family.

Obituary For Dwayne Charles Hardman
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dwayne Charles Hardman, after a very short battle with cancer, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital on Thursday, June 11, 2026.
Dwayne was born on September 3, 1969, in Wiarton, ON, to the late Bruce and Lois Hardman. He was raised on the family farm in Mar, ON, where he enjoyed hunting, four-wheeling, and snowmobiling.
Most recently, Dwayne worked for eight years at Trylon in Elmira, ON, as Lead Hand of CNC, where he made many close friends and was known as a dedicated, hard worker.
Ready for a new adventure, Dwayne decided it was time to move to Alberta. He drove the truck and trailer all the way from Ontario with three dogs and a cat in tow, loving every moment of the journey.
Dwayne had a love for tools, woodworking, and his newest passion: resin and wood projects. He spent many days in the garage creating all sorts of beautiful pieces. Some of his favourite times were spent at Mountain Lake Camp with his closest friends. He enjoyed a good game of darts or washoes, especially with his brother Darryl, and always looked forward to NASCAR races on Sundays. Dwayne loved music and being the life of the party.
Although he did not always like to show it, Dwayne was a very loving and generous man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His humour, kindness, and unforgettable presence will be deeply missed.
Dwayne will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Jen Sporbeck; brother Rick (Amanda); sister-in-law Louise; his children Samantha, Destiny, Brent, Rita, Izzy, Kyle, Shelby, and Derek; and his grandchildren Nashton, Hendrix, Layne, Jaxson, Aria, Karson, and Kaydance.
Dwayne was predeceased by his parents, Bruce and Lois Hardman, and his brothers Jeff, Tony, and Darryl.
A special thank you is extended to Michelle at the Cancer Centre, Patty, his dietitian, Jennifer from Beaverlodge Home Care, and nurses Ru, Leah, and Aleigha for their care, kindness, and support.
Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (https://cancer.ca/en/ways-to-give/dedicate-your-donation).
