Obituary For Douglas Clarence Helle
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband, and friend, Douglas Clarence Helle, on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 79 years.
Doug was a true pillar of strength and resilience, as well as a great mentor. He took great pride in his work and poured concrete all over Northern Alberta and Grande Prairie.
He was tough but fair and always meant well. Doug had a great sense of humour and enjoyed socializing. He lived life to the fullest—whether he was working hard, traveling, dancing, or sharing laughs over a few beers. He will be greatly missed.
Doug is survived by his fiancée, Josephine Emperador, and her children, Glen Jucar (Diosamay, Ara, Dion, and Ada), Gleeann Jucar (Omar, Aasiyah, and Miriam). His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Leroy Helle (Tammy, Micheal, Brittany, Teia, Cheyenne, Danton, Autum, Sheila, Octavia, Brandy, and Kona), Peg Smith (Megan), Fabien Helle (Chantel, Cassius, and Zayden), Stacey Helle (Levi, Jade, and Austin), Ginger Helle (Stephanie), and Luke Helle (Jacob, Zailey, and Damon). His siblings Garney Helle and Shirley (Graemé) McQueen; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Sylvester Helle, Eugenie Laprette, and siblings Ralph Helle, Jerry Helle, and Francis Bean.
