Obituary For Dorn William Becker

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorn Becker, of Grande Prairie, AB, on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the age of 64 years, surrounded by his loving family.

Dorn was born in Rimbey, AB, where he grew up on the family farm before venturing into logging, oilfield work, and later founding DJB Consulting. His career took him across the country, but family was always at the center of his life.

Dorn loved farming, tractors, fishing, camping, quadding, and traveling with his wife, Jean.

His greatest joy was being a proud grandpa to his seven grandchildren, supporting them at the rinks and fields, and making memories around the campfire.

Dorn is survived by his wife, Jean; children Jody Becker and Janine (Ryan) Sawchyn; and grandchildren Gracyn, Lukas, Foster, Jordyn, Rylee, Brian, and Brayden.

He was predeceased by his parents, Elwood and Ramona Becker, and his son, Justin Becker.

A celebration of life for Dorn will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 4:00 pm at Dorn’s Shop. Dorn liked a good hot dog roast around a campfire surrounded by family, friends, fun, and music.

The family has a GoFundMe set up for Jean to help offset the costs for anyone interested and able. Thank you. (https://www.gofundme.com/f/xgjzh-support-dads-recovery-journey)
