Doris Kathleen Lukac, resident of Hythe, AB, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026, in Beaverlodge, AB, at the age of 92 years.

Doris was born on September 6, 1933, in Landis, Saskatchewan, to John Schafhauser and Techla Kohler. She later married Gabriel Kaspar Lukac, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and caring for others.

A devoted homemaker, she found her greatest purpose in caring for her family. She was known for her caring heart, helpful nature, kind spirit, thoughtful ways, and ever-present smile. Being a mother and grandmother was her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment spent with those she loved.

Doris was a woman of deep Catholic faith, which guided her throughout her life. She enjoyed volunteering at the library, swimming, participating in gymnastics, a love of food, and taking walks with her children and grandchildren. She also loved a friendly game of Scrabble, earning the affectionate title of the family's "Queen of Scrabble."

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Karel Lukac, David (Lucy) Lukac, Terry (Theresa) Lukac, and Lisa Boe (Robin); her cherished grandchildren, Forrest McGregor, Jamaika Lukac, Elijah Lukac, Johannes Lukac, Larissa Rivers, Alexandra Zuzin, Daniel Lukac, Matthew Lukac, Michael Lukac, Derek Lukac, Cody Lukac, Jayme Lukac, Jessica Bevans, Jason Dautel, Kaycee Boe, Tyler Boe, and Owen Boe; her many great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Doris was predeceased by her husband, Gabriel Kaspar Lukac; her sons, Brian Lukac and Donny Lukac; and her grandson, Jesse Lukac.

Doris leaves behind a legacy of unwavering faith, compassion, generosity, and unconditional love. Her gentle presence, warm smile, and caring heart will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives she touched.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Hythe Cemetery (110045 AB-672), Hythe, AB.

Following the graveside service, family and friends are invited to gather at Pearson Place (10409 99 St), in Hythe, on the main floor in the gathering area, for a time of fellowship and remembrance.
