Donelda Horton of Sexsmith Alberta passed away peacefully at QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie Alberta at the age of 80 years from a long battle of cancer.

She leaves to mourn her loving husband Al Horton of Sexsmith; sister Eunice Larson (Terry and Jim, Meredith and Lindsay McLeod) of Airdrie; children: Ron Symes of Stettler, Cindy (Barry) Dietzen of Valleyview, Darla (Mark) Provencal of Sexsmith; grand and great-grandchildren:

Julie, Teressa Symes of Stettler, Alissa Dietzen and Chad Brown of Valleyview, Riley (wife Nicole and children Liam and Brenon) Ross of Clairmont, Trina (husband Mike and children Madison, Nicholas and Declan) Gould of Red Deer, Shannon (husband Corey and children Danika, Teegan, Jordan, Abby) Bartlett of Grovedale; as well as many more family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Lindsay and Ella Gordon, in-laws Paul and Louise Horton.

As per Donelda’s wishes there will be no funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (#103 9805 97 St. Grande Prairie, AB T8V 8B9).
