Donald Stanley Kushnirak, resident of Clairmont, AB, formerly of Brownvale, AB, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at his home, at the age of 70 years.

Don was born on July 5, 1955, in Berwyn, AB, to Mike and Sally Kushnirak. He spent most of his childhood with his siblings on the farm in Brownvale. In 1982, Don married and had three children. He was a machine operator and skilled far beyond his time. He worked many years for Estabrook Construction, then continued doing what he loved with Mainline Construction.

He enjoyed quadding, riding his snowmobile, playing countless games of crib, and camping with his many friends and family. Don will be greatly missed for his laugh and smile that always filled the room.

Don is survived by his sister, Dianne; sister-in-law Debbie; children Kimberly, Tyler (Heather), and Travis (Stacey); grandchildren Michaela, Kyler, Kadence, Cooper, Starly, Tinly, and Stassi; as well as his extended family and many friends.

He was predeceased by his mother, Sally (1998); father, Mike (1970); and brothers, Leon (1991), Bill (1996), and Ken (2021).

A celebration of Don’s life will be held in the spring. Details will be announced at a later date.
