Diane Marie Whitford, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital at the age of 60 years.

On July 30, 1965, Diane was born in Kindersley, SK, to Melvin and Inez Harris. Diane was raised in the Maymont, SK, area and then lived for a number of years in Battleford, SK. She eventually settled in Lloydminster, SK/AB, where she raised her family. Later on in life, she made her way to Grande Prairie, where she resided until her passing.

Diane was incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming to anyone she crossed paths with. She was a little quirky, too—in the best way.

She will be sadly missed by her partner-in-life, John Gwin; daughter Lana (husband Arjay); son Edward; and grandchildren Alex and Ben.

She was predeceased by her father, Melvin; her mother, Inez; and twin sister, Donna.

Diane’s memorial service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave). Following the service, friends are invited to join the family for refreshments in Oliver’s Tea Room. Interment will be held at a later date.
