  It is always sad when someone we know pass to the great beyond. Derek may have passed but his legacy lives on. In his short life here on earth, he impacted so many of people through his friendship and entrepreneurial venture. I will always remember his incredible sense of humour and the positive energy he radiated. Even during tough times, his spirit shone brightly. Though he will be greatly missed, I am confident that he has prepared and set up his family to match on gallantly in his absence. I am also confident that God who knows the end from the beginning will keep the family from now till the end. He watches over the sparrows. He will watch over you all. Shalom!

I had the pleasure of knowing this young man when he was a wee child...he had a wicked sense of humor then, and sure knew how to con us out of a treat or two.
