Obituary For Daniel "Danny" Alexander Wach

Daniel Alexander Wach, a resident of Grande Prairie, Alberta passed peacefully, with his wife Jenna by his side, on February 23, 2024 at the age of 52 years.

Danny was born on August 1, 1971 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a military child, he spent his adolescence relocating from the East Coast to the West Coast, and back. Soon after graduation, he aspired to be like his father and joined the armed forces.

When his time with the armed forces came to an end, Danny ventured to Grande Prairie. Eventually, making his way back to Nova Scotia he was able to reconnect with family and friends. He also began his lifelong career as a heavy-duty mechanic.

With this career, Danny made his way back West to Grande Prairie, where he met the love of his life Jenna. Creating a wonderful life and family, having their two beloved children Emerson and Max, his pride and joy. Some of the best days of his life would be spent hunting, fishing, and camping, always making the most of every day. Family was the most important to him and their trips to Mexico were some of his favourite memories. Above all things, being a father was his most significant accomplishment. Encompassing a true hero's spirit he persevered with courage, grace, and stoicism during his four-year battle with cancer. Leaving behind an undeniable legacy of strength.

Danny will be profoundly missed by his wife Jenna; children Emerson and Max; along with their fur babies Leo and Gus; brothers Duane Wach and Darryl (Inge) Wach, their children Morgan and Haley; sister Jennifer Macumber (James Stewart); father-in-law Simon Berg (Linda Weber); brother-in-law Travis (Shona) Sheehan Berg, and their children Casper and Jet; along with all his family and friends from the East Coast to the West Coast. He was so loved.

He was predeceased by his mother Christel Wach; father Ray Wach; and mother-in-law Marj Sheehan Berg.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11:00am, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie, AB (10005 107 Ave.) with lunch to follow.

Memorial donations may be made in memory of Danny to the Grande Prairie Palliative Care Society (gpcare.ca/volunteer-or-donate/).
