We offer families the opportunity to prepare and submit obituary notices written in their own words. We believe this allows each tribute to authentically reflect the life and legacy of the individual. To honour each tribute, obituaries are published as approved by the family.

Obituary For Cindy Lee Allan
We are saddened to announce that Cindy Allan, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital at the age of 62 years.
Cindy was born on April 23, 1964, in Brantford, Ontario, and was raised there. She called several other places home, including Edmonton, Ensenada, Revelstoke, and Courtenay.
Cindy had various professions throughout her life, serving in the food and beverage industry, government and museum roles, and working as a missionary alongside her husband. She was a caregiver by calling, making sure others felt loved and supported, while ensuring their needs were met. That became her final occupation until she retired in 2025.
Joyful, outgoing, bubbly, determined, and loyal—these words encapsulate the vibrant spirit of Cindy. She found immense happiness in the simple pleasures of life, whether she was spending cherished quality time with her family, getting lost in the creativity of colouring, or enjoying a fun day out shopping.
Above all, Cindy’s life was a beautiful testament to her faith. Her boundless joy came directly from her relationship with the Lord, serving as an unshakeable foundation that kept her smiling through every season. No matter what life brought her way, her radiant positivity and faith-filled heart never wavered, leaving a lasting legacy of love and light for everyone who knew her.
Cindy will be dearly missed by her husband, Richard Allan; her children, Rebecca (Lonnie), Dirk (Nicole), and Emily (Jonathon); her grandchildren, Spencer, Sophie, Jonah, Evalyn, Ruby, and Caleb; and her brother, Richard.
She was predeceased by her parents, James Boyd and Grace Boyd; her stepmother, Kay Boyd; and her siblings, Allen Boyd, Randy Boyd, and Elizabeth Boyd-Martins.
The memorial service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at the Grande Prairie Alliance Church (15502-102 Street).
