Obituary For Catherine "Cathy" Ann Cronk

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Catherine “Cathy” Cronk, on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at the age of 89 years.

Cathy was born on September 8, 1933, in North Battleford, Saskatchewan and moved to Grande Prairie in 1962, with her loving husband Cameron. She became an integral part of the community as a member of the local ACT, Royal Purple, CWL, and the Grande Prairie Hospital Auxiliary, giving back anyway she could.

Cathy loved spending time with family and friends that most notably included curling, golfing, playing cards, and watching the Saskatchewan Roughriders. She spent the majority of her retirement years traveling with her treasured husband and volunteering in the community. Cathy is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by her sister Sylvia Parr; her children: Clark (Leslie), Chad (June), and Corrie-Ann; and grandchild Carissa; along with her many nieces and nephews whom she cherished. Cathy was predeceased by her husband Cameron, parents Paul and Ann Omilon, twin sister Helen Mcleod, brother Robert Omilon and niece Candace Anderson. Cathy's family would like to thank the nurses of Unit 23 at Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, the staff of AHS Homecare, Prairie Lakes Residence and Doctors Advani and Leal for their devoted care and attention to Cathy.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 10404 102 St, Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 2W3, on Monday, February 27, 2023, at 2:00 pm. Following the service, there will be food and fellowship at Tranquille Hall.

A Livestream of the service will be accessible 15 minutes prior to the service on Catherine’s obituary on Oliver’s Funeral Home website.

Memorial donations may be made to the Grande Prairie Elks and Royal Purple Fund for Children (C/O Grande Prairie Elks #285) (Box 843, Grande Prairie, Alberta, T8V 3R5).
