Obituary For Bruce Leslie Dunbar

Bruce Leslie Dunbar, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the age of 72 years.

Bruce was born in Beaverlodge, AB, on July 10, 1953. He worked in the oilfield industry and resided mainly in the Grande Prairie area. He loved the outdoors, was an avid quadder, and loved to go camping and boating. Bruce also enjoyed meeting people and was a big fan of John Deeres and antiques.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 52 years, Doreen; his sons Kevin and Cory; and the McKay family, who loved and cherished him, unconditionally.

He was predeceased by his parents, Dave and Norene Dunbar; sister Dianne Hauger; and nephew Cameron Dunbar.

Bruce’s memorial service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Oliver’s Funeral Home (10005 107 Ave). Following the service, friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon in Oliver’s Tea Room. Afterward, a private family interment will be held at Halcourt Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
