Obituary For Arnold Peder Gleason
Arnold Peder Gleason, resident of Valhalla Centre, AB, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016, at Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital, at the age of 83 years.
Arnold was born and raised on the family farm North of Valhalla. He was schooled in Valhalla up to Grade 9. Arnold worked oilfield and odd jobs before settling his own farm East of Valhalla. He was a grain farmer until he retired in 2011. He married Mary in 1974. They had two kids: Glenn in 1975, and Tracy in 1977. Arnold was widowed in 1998. He dated Marion Kobbert from 2000 until his passing.
Arnold loved to party and dance, travel to Vegas and Mazatlan, and watch Blue Jays baseball. He also enjoyed buying and selling aluminum boats and motors, hall dances, and his grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by Marion Kobbert (16 years together); daughter Tracy Rue; step-son Fred Robinson; grandkids: Chelsea Rue, Zoë Gleason, Talbert Gleason, and Gunnar Gleason; step-grandkids: Shaun Robinson, James Robinson, Riley Robinson, and Shelby Robinson; 8 great-grandkids; and brother Obert Gleason.
He was predeceased by his wife Mary Gleason and son Glenn Gleason.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at 11:00am, at Valhalla Lutheran Church.
