We offer families the opportunity to prepare and submit obituary notices written in their own words. We believe this allows each tribute to authentically reflect the life and legacy of the individual. To honour each tribute, obituaries are published as approved by the family.

Obituary For Andrew Lee Oilund
Andrew Lee Oilund passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at the Prairie Lake Seniors Community Hospice in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 71 years.
Andrew (Lee) pursued photography, one of his many interests, by attending NAIT in Edmonton, AB. He would go on to photograph weddings, family, and landscapes. He especially loved photographing thunderstorms over the hay fields around South Bear Creek.
Andrew followed in his father’s and family’s footsteps to work in the forestry industry. He operated loaders and had the record for most logs loaded in one shift.
Eventually, he was able to turn his childhood passion for building scale models into his dream job. His prized work was building a 1:600-scale model of the Grande Prairie P&G plant, where his amazing eye for detail and creativity was unmistakable.
He loved to downhill ski, golf, dance, play cards, watch NASCAR, listen to music, tinker with cars, and spend time with family and friends. He always had a smile on his face and was a true jokester.
Andrew (Lee) is survived by his sons, Mark Oilund, Shaun Oilund (Kelsey Oilund), and Justin Oilund (Melissa Horner); his grandchildren, Emmett Oilund and Elliott Oilund; brother Brent Oilund (Cindy Oilund); and sister Dalyce Mandryk (Pat Mandryk).
Andrew (Lee) was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Sonja Oilund, and fiancée Kim Parks.
His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grande Prairie (10407-100 St), followed by interment at the Grande Prairie Cemetery (84 Ave & 112 St). Afterward, friends are invited to join the family back at the church for a luncheon.
Lee was loved by many and will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
