Amanda Fisher, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Spirit River, AB, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital at the age of 40 years.

Amanda was born on August 26, 1985, at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie. She was raised on a farm outside of Spirit River, where she lived with her parents and siblings.

A fun-loving individual, Amanda was the “ruler of the roost” and “Boss Lady,” known for encouraging people not only with sass, but also kindness. She loved animals of all kinds, especially horses and dogs, and greatly enjoyed caring for her beloved guinea pigs. Some of her hobbies included arts and crafts, karaoke, hosting events at home, visiting water parks, and watching Disney movies. She was particularly fond of Mary Poppins and The Lion King.

Amanda will be dearly missed by her sister, Jennifer Fisher; her nieces and nephews, Chloe Lockhart, Aubrie Lockhart, Ryelee Fisher, and Daemon Fisher; her father, Phillip Fisher; her stepmother, Betty Fisher; as well as numerous family members, friends, roommates, and support staff.

She was predeceased by her mother, Rita Fisher (née Robertson); her brother, Phillip Fisher; and her sister, Trina Fisher.

Viewing will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005-107 Ave). The memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m., after which a luncheon will be held in Oliver’s Tea Room.
