Obituary For Alison Jennifer Collinge

Alison Jennifer Collinge passed suddenly and peacefully on May 16, 2026, at the age of 46.

Born in Grande Prairie, AB, on December 26, 1979, Alison was a kind and caring person who deeply valued time spent with her family. She especially enjoyed cheering on her nieces and nephews at sporting events and gathering around the supper table for family meals filled with laughter and connection. One of Alison’s favorite things was her birthday sleigh ride at Finch’s Farm, a tradition that brought her great joy year after year.

She played many sports and had various hobbies throughout her childhood, but her love of swimming and dance could not be compared. Alison participated in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and modern dance, eventually working her way up to pointe in her ballet career. She dreamed of a career in education and enjoyed her time working in the early childhood development field during her 20s.

The proudest part of Alison’s life was being a mother to her son whenever she was able. She loved him more than she could ever show.

Alison faced struggles with her mental health throughout her life and managed those challenges as best she could with the love and support of her family. Despite those struggles, she remained a constant support to the people she loved. She made daily phone calls to family and friends like clockwork to check in, share news, and make sure everyone was okay. Her love of music was unmatched, and she often spent her days singing in her apartment or while driving around. Her family and loved ones will deeply miss those phone calls, along with her daily love, care, and concern for the people she held close.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, Robert Collinge, Alexia Cherry, Robert Trottier, and Ian Hassall; and by her mother, Patricia Trottier.

Alison will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her father, Al Collinge, and his wife, Puk; her son, Ben Warman; her grandmother, Nora Hassall; her brother, Rob Collinge, and his children, Jacob, Sophya, Jaxxon, and Nixxon; her sister, Jaclyn Collinge, and her partner, Ryan Scott, along with their children, Delainee, Samuel, and Ellanora; her uncles and aunts: Robert Trottier, Lisa Hassall, Gary Hassall and his wife, Cathe, Bill Cherry, and Clair Cherry; as well as her cousin, Ryan Hassall, and his wife, Carly, and their children, Ian and Isla; along with countless relatives and friends near and far.

A graveside service will be held at Beaverlodge Cemetery (95003 AB-667) on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.

In memory of Alison, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association - Alberta Northwest Region (9713 100 Avenue, Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 0T5, https://alberta.cmha.ca/donate/).
