Obituary For Ali Ahmed McLean
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ali Ahmed McLean, of Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation, on September 8, 2026 at the age of 28.
Born on September 4, 1998 in Edmonton, Alberta, Ali lived a life filled with hard work as a carpenter and a deep love for hunting and the outdoors.
He is survived by his parents Dawn McLean and Ahmed Alghalebi, grandparents Ruby McLean and Clyde Goodswimmer, brother Wendell, sisters Mayada (Stephano), Briann and Zayda, nephews Justice, Amir, Ameen and niece Isabella.
Ali is predeceased by his Great Grand Parents Eliza and Dan McLean and Violet and Edward Goodswimmer.
A wake service will be held on Monday September 14, 2026 at 4:00pm followed by a funeral service to be held on Tuesday September 15, 2026 at 1:00pm at Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation Community Hall.
