Obituary For Aileen Peggy Mulvay

Aileen Peggy Mulvay, resident of Grande Prairie, Alberta, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the age of 86 years.

Aileen was born and raised in Arcola, Saskatchewan. She married the love of her life, Robert, on September 9, 1961. Robert (known as Kelly) worked in the oilfield while Aileen worked as a ‘domestic engineer,’ caring for their two daughters, Sandra and Susan, and keeping the home fires burning. Oilfield life saw them move to various cities throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta before settling in Grande Prairie in 1969.

Aileen had a love for knitting, crocheting, and sewing. She especially enjoyed making clothing, blankets, and other handmade gifts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Robert; daughters Sandra (Victor) and Susan (Roger); brother Larry (Diane); sisters-in-law Colleen and Pat (Adolf); as well as numerous loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Aileen was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Mabel Chapman; brothers Dick, Dean, and Kelly; sister-in-law Sharon; brothers-in-law Dwight and Bart; and parents-in-law Mary and Robert Mulvay.

The viewing will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave), followed immediately by the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. for family and close friends. Following the service, friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon in Oliver’s Tea Room.

The interment and graveside service will be held at a later date.
